Thanks for the generous comment. I’ve viewed some others and found that mine is still far from good. Taking pointers from everyone here in this community.

  2. I am glad I found your website! During this economy, every place needs a site like this. Looks like you have found a way to balance work, finances and the rest of your life. Thank you for showing me there are cheap ways to get some freedom from working all the time. Dee

    1. Hi Dee,

I believe sometimes (not for every case of course) it’s the lifestyle we expect to have that determines how hard we have to work. Trying to keep up with the Joneses in our materialistic world has caused some I know to make bad choices in life with their finances that have led to high stress and even depression. Finding a balance and being content with what what we have would bring more peace and joy.

The page has a lot of useful information on how to save money through deals in one of the most advanced and expensive cities in the world. The deals relate to airline tickets, food, local travel and sightseeing as well which makes it a complete and useful package for anyone planning to visit Singapore without incurring the exorbitant costs.

Glad you found the page useful. I look forward to sharing more in the weeks to come.

    1. Do come for a visit Arian, even if it is a stopover to other asian countries. I understand some airlines during promotional periods are offering amazingly affordable rates for accommodation and also vouchers to heavily discounted attractions.

Hi there, me and some friends are planning for some backpacking trip around South East Asia. We are planning to stop by Singapore for a few nights so I am wondering if you know of any budgeted dormitory/apartment for rent? A place nearby local markets/stalls would be great as we are a bunch of people who love to eat.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

Hi Cathy, as there are a few of you. I suggest staying in an apartment would probably be more affordable than staying in a backpacker’s hostel. Check out homes in Airbnb in locations like Little India or Geylang. They are near food places and not too far from town. Hope you have a great trip!
